'Do not archive' sections here

[edit]

I suggest we review the need for the instruction "DoNotArchiveUntil 11:27, 31 August 2029 (UTC)" for some sections here on this talk page. First, I can't see its need for the section "#Many new illustrations from Ricordi now available" which incidentally lacks User:Voceditenore's plain text notice. The section "#Almanacco Amadeus – Che disastro!", should never habeen tagged like this. Comments? Suggestions? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 07:52, 6 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

RFC on Infobox at Maurice Ravel

[edit]

An RFC is currently in progress at Talk:Maurice Ravel on whether to include an infobox in the article. Robert McClenon (talk) 23:28, 18 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Mignon Dunn RIP

[edit]

Mezzo Mignon Dunn died, who was a great singer around the world but her article is more or less just a list of roles and venues copied from the Manhattan School of Music. Help welcome. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:42, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

She is on the main page now. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:47, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

The Ring

[edit]

On 13 August 1876, a performance of Das Reingold opened the first Ring cycle at the first Bayreuth Festival. Can we we improve the related articles? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:47, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Requested move at Talk:Les Mamelles de Tirésias#Requested move 16 July 2026

[edit]

There is a requested move discussion at Talk:Les Mamelles de Tirésias#Requested move 16 July 2026 that may be of interest to members of this WikiProject. ASUKITE 03:13, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • I find this confusing. It seems to me this editor should have reverted the technical move, since it was done in error and without discussion, and at the time he should have advised the requestor User:IvanScrooge98 to add a requested move to the Talk page, but I can understand that User:RosePickfair's comments which reveal some natural confusion re this issue has made him reluctant to revert the technical move. In any case, it clearly requires some discussion, one way or another. It is my impression many of the editors who supported the current guidance on capitalization of these titles at Wikiproject Opera have retired from active editing, possibly because the opera topic has matured to a rather advanced stage, so now may be a good time to determine whether it should continue to be maintained, but this will need to be discussed here at Wikiproject Opera. Personally, I find it preferable to maintain the current guidance, but I can understand why some may like to change it. --Robert.Allen (talk) 04:39, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
