Veronica Pempho Ndalama is a Malawian politician who became a member of parliament representing Blantyre South Lunzu Constituency in 2025.
Life
[edit]Ndalama was the fifth child and her parents in time had two more children. She intended to study law at Chancellor College, but because her application was not successful she looked at other options. The closest and most immediate was to study political leadership at the Catholic University of Malawi. She graduated and joined the Democratic Progressive Party.[1]
During the COVID pandemic she was the President of the Mtunthama Lions Club. They distributed masks and food to the elderly in Kawale township.[2]
In June 2025 she announced that she was to pay 50,000 kwacha to each of 87 teams who were to compete in a football tournament in Machinjiri.[3]
In 2025 she was the successful candidate in the Blantyre City South Lunzu Constituency.[4] In October it was decided that accusations including bribery justified a court case.[5] The case was heard and rejected n November because there was insufficient evidence. Ndalama was declared to be legally elected.[6]
