"Unconnected" statements in NCRI lead

Hello, you have twice removed the word "however" from the lead section of the article for the National Council of Resistance of Iran, claiming that there is "no connection" or "no contrast" between the claims of NCRI being 'an independent parliament' and 'a political wing of MeK'. But these sentences are connected. It is not possible to be an independent parliament which is a wing, i.e. subsidiary, of another organization. That is not independence. The issue isn't about whether the two statements could be seen as contradictory in a broader sense, but about whether the contrast is explicitly established in the text. The sentence "It describes itself as an independent parliament-in-exile..." merely states how the NCRI defines itself, while the next sentence "The organization is often described by academics and journalists as the political or diplomatic wing of the MEK" reports how others describe it. These are two factual statements presenting differing perspectives, not a logical contrast or rebuttal. Introducing "However" suggests that the second sentence is directly opposing or refuting the first, which overstates the relationship between them. In neutral encyclopedic writing, it's preferable to present both descriptions without implying contradiction unless reliable sources explicitly frame it as such. Hi, just rewrote the lead section. Don't think it's too radical of a change, but if you're interested, go ahead and take a look. Also, I neglected to reply and didn't include a "however" in the rewrite, but reliable sources do set up a contrast between the claimed independence of NCRI and its inextricable link to MEK.
