[edit]Regarding this edit, do you possess independent and reliable linguistic analyses and sources demonstrating that Zaza considered a variety of Kurdish? For over a century, since the early 20th century, Zaza has been classified both within Iranology and by international linguistic authorities as an independent and separate Western Iranian language separate from Kurdish. Right above the word Zaza you added, the Paul source cited as a reference contains no explanation, analysis or statement regarding the linguistic examination of Zaza or its relationship to Kurdish dialects. Moreover, Paul himself has already demonstrated that Zaza is not a dialect of Kurdish, but rather an independent Western Iranian language (Paul, 1998: 163). The other source at the end of the sentence, Ozek, Saglam, and Gooskens (2023), also demonstrates that Zaza is not a Kurdish variety. Thanks. Vuzorg (talk) 22:24, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
