Neal Ludevig page

Hi Sam!

Wasn't sure the best way to be in touch, and I had responded to your comment but didn't hear back. Are you able to see if the tweaks made to the Neal Ludevig page to improved it and make it qualify? Thinking about some other pages for other folks, but feel like this will help provide a foundation for what goes and what doesn't, so wanted to check-in with you since you gave some good advice earlier. Hi Sam - can you maybe provide any notes / thoughts on what would allow it to read more like a biography in that way, or provide an example of a individual bio that reads correctly? That would help a lot as I seek to improve it and make necessary changes. I feel like I see many articles read in a similar way (somewhat list style), and felt that read neutral - but I guess that's wrong?

Any/all help would be appreciated!

As for the sources that seem strongest (3 best), he's been written about, mentioned, and had his work covered in everything from the New York Times, to Variety, to Deadline, to the Daily News, to Rolling Stone, and beyond. They all seem seriously reputable (in addition to other reputable / media-like sources like WNYC / NPR) - are you suggesting taking info related and/or mentioned in those out?

If you're able to do a pass, that'd be helpful (I also don't know if I shoudl be doing this another way so this doesn't fall on you - I thought honestly this was a community thing where all kinds of people contribute, but just haven't seen anything here done for some reason). The three sources are excellent; unfortunately, they are behind paywalls. Going by your descriptions, 1. names Ludevig directly as co-producer, 2. identifies Ludevig as primary curator and co-producer, 3. names Ludevig as co-producer, I suspect we still lack the important significant coverage. A good, short read is WP:GOLDENRULE. Could I get you started with editing something else than Neal Ludevig? Best, Sam Sailor 05:19, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

@Sam Sailor Ah thanks! For some reason that didn't come through until like...right now. So strange!

And ah! For the paywalls, I know per WP:SOURCEACCESS, source availability shouldn't affect reliability. But, I have a little trick for you! When the page loads, quickly do a select all (command + A) and then copy everything (command c), before the paywall comes in. You should be able to take the full article and copy and paste it anywhere to see everything :) - Little trick I found! If you miss it, just refresh and try again. Also, Wayback Machine is pretty useful.

As for the WP:GOLDENRULE and WP:SIGCOV, thanks for pointing it out. Read through both, and appropriately tweaking (I'll correct the relevant areas in the article too) the three sources with that standard in mind.

1. The New York Times (Aug. 15, 2019) - Neal is directly quoted twice by name, with his title given as "the curator and co-producer of this year's 50th anniversary 'Black Woodstock' event." This is a feature piece by a Yale professor, not a news brief: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/15/arts/music/black-woodstock-harlem-festival-1969.html
2.
