"Divers" article sandbox
[edit]Hey, I just wanted to say your draft of the "Divers" article is looking really good so far! If you're welcome to it, I'd love to collaborate on it and contribute citations and information to the draft. I wrote the gender marker article and I did some research on "divers" and other available legal sex options, so I may be able to help speed up the process of sourcing and publishing the article.

- That'd be incredibly helpful! In particular a lot of the legal citations/details are things I'm less familiar with so would love help. Are you able to edit in the sandbox article I'm making? - I can absolutely edit the sandbox and help contribute those. For future reference, basically anyone can edit pages in another user's "userspace" like sandboxes, templates, even the user page itself. Usually though, that sort of thing isn't done because these spaces are treated as inconsequential enough to the core of Wikipedia to not warrant policing or editing. This means that sandboxes are actually a great place to collaborate on articles, as they are completely free to mold and edit by anyone as you prepare an article for mainspace. I'm currently traveling for the next two weeks but will likely get in some editing here and there, so I'll especially focus on citations since that's the biggest area left to complete. - I think if there are multiple drafts of the same name, it's best to consolidate them into one. This is because when a new article is being created, the user may be notified if there is an existing draft. As such, I think this user's draft should be the place where all information is consolidated. However, if you want to maintain your own draft to complete some information, you could also make it a sandbox I suppose. DoO2 10:48, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

- No worries, there's a first time for everything! Since your draft is the more developed one, I believe the information will mostly be moved from the existing draft Rayisaham identified. With these things it's better to just do what works instead of worrying too much about what might be the "right" process, and I'm this case we'll just take from the smaller draft and incorporate it into the bigger draft. As for avoiding duplicate information, it's just as plain as checking the existing draft for information not mentioned in yours and finding where it could be best incorporated.
