It would depend on what you're writing the article on. To start off, please read Help:Your first article to get a general idea of the process.

I see you have three edits so far on Wikipedia, I would also recommend doing some smaller tasks before starting this to get a better idea of how editing works, and what standards articles are written with.

Hello, what I understand is you are trying to add pages to a category? You can do this by going to the pages you want to add and scrolling to the bottom where you change it to whatever you want.

If I misinterpreted your question please let me know.

Since you're the subject of the article you want to create, editing it yourself is generally disallowed by Wikipedia policies for conflict of interest (WP:COI), policies against autobiographies (WP:AUTO), and general notability (WP:NOTE).

Thank you, that's reassuring to hear, and no rush at all on the rest.

While you're looking at it, there is one thing I'd value your view on. The article was moved from "Smartface" to "Appcircle" in August 2024, so the Smartface product sections are effectively the original body of the article rather than later additions, and "Smartface" is now a redirect pointing here. Those sections still describe the products in the present tense even though the framework was discontinued.

My instinct was to propose removing them, but I'm genuinely unsure that's right, since it would leave the redirect pointing at an article that no longer covers Smartface at all. Condensing them into a shorter past-tense summary seems more defensible to me, but I'd rather ask than decide this myself. Do you have a view on which way is more appropriate?

The page I'm trying to edit is my biography (William Goldman (mathematician).

I was actually surprised when I saw that it existed, and I was able to correct a few inaccuracies. But then I was approached by several people for help, but only too late

I realized that I was getting scammed. My scammer (a "William Carter") did send me a bio which he wrote and told me he was going to post it, but I became suspicious when I started hearing about the scamming, so I reported it.

Should I attach the file (it's in Microsoft Word).

I also wanted to include links to former doctoral students, postdocs, activities

like the GEAR network, the Geometry Center... I tried including some of them but

they didn't take effect. I think it's been a strict learning curve for me.
