Hi Moxy, I saw the other day that you were going to submit this page for review after all the edits I had done. I was curious to know if that would be through the assessment process of WikiProject Canada or the regular peer review system on Wikipedia? I remember adding an edit, only for it to be reverted by you under the reasonings that it wasn't the official website. What I do find a problem though is that it does seem official, which I don't get the removal. Is it possible for you to explain it to me if possible?

You will note we simply don't add the government website to any country article infobox because the articles are not about the government as a whole but a nation. It would be more than appropriate to add it to the government of article infobox - example Canada vs Government of Canada. That said the website for the government would normally be listed in the external links section along with some other official links to the tourist site or whatever see Canada#External links. I would like to ask you something

In the article Democracy-Dictatorship Index, the map File:DD classification 2008 dataset Cheibub visualized hanteng en.png depicts South Africa and Namibia as a "civilian dictatorship", Botswana and Tanzania as a "military dictatorship", and Venezuela as a "presidential democracy" in 2008, when the former three were presidential democracies (and still are), Tanzania an illiberal presidential democracy (and still is) and Venezuela a civilian dictatorship (and still is) at that time. This mistake is also mentioned in Talk:Democracy-Dictatorship Index. The map needs to be corrected by coloring South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Tanzania in dark blue (diluted as Tanzania's is) and Venezuela in orange. Likewise, in the map File:DD classification 1988 dataset Cheibub visualized hanteng en.png, Communist Poland is depicted as a "military dictatorship" in 1988, when it was a civilian dictatorship. Poland was a military dictatorship during 1981-1983, when martial law was imposed. It became a civilian dictatorship again during 1983-1989. Article The Economist Democracy Index, including its map, provides a more accurate picture.

Hi @Moxy. I noticed your comment about the Hybrid regime AfD discussion, and just wanted to let you know that if you'd ever like eyes on something, you're welcome to leave a note on my talk page. You certainly won't have to worry about canvassing because, if our record of interactions are indicative of anything, it's that there's very little chance we share significant overlapping views on anything on here other than wanting what's best for the website.

Unfortunately Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Politics typically gets buried in my watchlist feed, and it's usually so barren over there that I don't even bother checking it in the first place. I suspect there are many other users who feel similarly. I think the spirit of WP:CANVASS is largely to avoid users ganging up on those who disagree with them, rather than to block what can actually be quite an effective means of generating fruitful discussion. I'll see what I can do over at Articles for deletion, but hope you'll consider my thoughts in the meantime. Oxford & Cambridge university rankings

Hey, I see you removed the promolike line about the rankings of Oxford & Cambridge from the lead of England. While I agree the lead is better with this sentence removed, I see no harm in this point being in the main body. However, since you removed that sentence in the lead, you need to also remove the two citations which follow that sentence and which certainly refer to university rankings. In this edit, when you say "we'll work on the successive lazy copy pasting tomorrow or so", are you referring to my work? If not, feel free to ignore the following.

Sorry to be a whiny bitch about this, but I am yet again disappointed by the obvious lack of civility from highly experienced editors. I put a lot of effort into many of the articles I copied from, and as you can see, it was over a period of over 2 hours that I tried to select and adjust the appropriate parts to copy into that article. I was concerned myself that the result might already be too long, and it was something I was going to look into. But this edit summary is just so goddamn annoying, it's like some of you long-time editors just truly don't even want any good new editors who put in a genuine effort, and for the pool of volunteers to just ossify and die out. You could have written me on my talk page, or on the article's talk page, "hey, good effort, but it seems too long right now, and I have X Y Z concerns with copy pasting. Could we collaborate on this?". Or even something significantly less civil and kind and cooperative than that, but at least not the toxic option you did opt for. That all being said, I would still be more than happy to have help with the overall structure of this article at large, and the section in question in particular, since I think that there is a lot of work to be done.

I’ve always been bugged by the use of the UK legislation infobox for Canadian constitutional enactments. I took a crack at creating a new infobox, using the general legislation infobox. Copy attached, for the CA 1867.

What do you think?

I could easily use the same format for other constitutional enactments

The one thing I wonder about is using your government logo, since it’s got the coat of arms in it. Given the fights over the past year, and your position about not using the CofA, is there a problem with that logo? Unlike the suggestion to use the CoA in other Canadian articles, this one is greatly reduced and is only in red and white. Is that enough to distinguish the use of the small CoA here?

I see you've found our new friend. I'm thinking maybe we need an essay for how to approach inclusion of Indigenous names on Canadian geography articles... We seem to have come to a general consensus by now that other names don't belong in the lead or infobox, except French names in some circumstances, and the rest can be included in the body under "Etymology" or something...
