I wonder if this should be included as it is designated by PAGASA only when it was out of PAR. There was never such case before. 🐱💬14:07, 17 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
As this could unleash a dangerous case... We have to consider other agencies as well. I have to think about that very seriously. 🐱💬11:33, 18 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't want to be unfair with CMA, CWA, HKO, KMA, etc... Also you shouldn't ruin my page with those full-size images. 🐱💬14:04, 22 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I just decided to remove the unnamed PAGASA TD from timelines/season totals. Upon reconsideration I don't think it's necessary to include there, I'll remove it from my worldwide map tonight. OreoStar-fait (talk) 17:52, 22 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Meanwhile, hyphens seem to be used for the names in the west Pacific and north Indian that are like two names in one, like Yun-yeung, Son-Tinh, and Chan-hom, as well as Khai-muk in the north Indian ocean and the upcoming Al-jarz.
I don't know why it's been chosen since it may cause some difficulties about typing. If en-dash is okay then it's fine but there should be a guideline about that. 🐱💬15:14, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
You can type en-dashes by typing "{{endash}}". Wikipedia is for the readers, not the editors, so I think it being hard to type some characters is not that important. Nibnab43637 (talk) 21:36, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Not a problem for me due to using Apple devices. It's just a problem for others who want to type in accurately on some other platform. 🐱💬01:47, 5 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
A bit late but just chiming in that Wikipedia on desktop in the browser has a character menu that is very useful for typing special characters left out on qwerty keyboards. There are also a few templates one can use like , {{em dash}}, et cetera if for some reason one cannot use the character menu. ✶Quxyz✶ (talk) 14:48, 8 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
