ARTICLE:
Voluntary Human Extinction Movement (VHEMT)
CONTESTED EDIT (Article Talk Page):

New Section: Notability, single-source, and potential conflict of interest
CONTESTED EDIT (Article Page):
21:26, 30 March 2010 – Jagerman
Added single-source template: this article's content is based almost entirely on the VHEMT website itself.
Hello Fellow Editor,
Hopefully we are not at an impasse. And my communication (written words) is being presented in a “friendly” manner (WP: EQ).
FIRST:
The VHEMT Article Page is continually being vandalized (or formatted as a debate – violating Wikipedia “Neutral Point Of View”). A few examples are:
May 7, 2008
October 3, 2008
February 16, 2009
February 24, 2009
March 8, 2009
April 4, 2009
April 24, 2009
May 13, 2009
May 15, 2009
May 24, 2009
and so on……
Therefore, due to vandalism and irresponsible Editors, the VHEMT Article requires constant monitoring (said Article hasn’t been “locked”). Hence, my choice as a responsible Editor is to voluntarily monitor the VHEMT Article on a daily basis.
SECOND:
Your statement on the Talk Page (VHEMT Article Discussion) is subjective (an opinion) and erroneous.
Jagerman:
“While the organization….”
Skyeking:
VHEMT is not an organization; it is a movement without any formal organization.
Jagerman:
“…may have sufficient notability...”
Skyeking:
VHEMT’s web site founder (spokesman) is Les U. Knight, and he DOES (no maybe about it) have sufficient notability because he is recognized by major media.
Jagerman:
“…notability is not indicated by the article…”
Skyeking:
Numerous media sources have been stated in the Article, and are of sufficient number for visitors to verify the validity of the VHEMT Article. In addition, the VHEMT Article has been reviewed by Wiki Administrators who have confirmed there are sufficient “outside” References to validate the Article (VHEMT Article Page: References #8, #10 – #14).
THIRD:
Your statement on the Talk Page (VHEMT Article Discussion) is subjective (an opinion), erroneous, and implies that I’m a COI Editor.
Jagerman:
“…conflict of interest…, given that User:Skyeking’s…”
Skyeking:
Your implication that I’m involved in a “conflict of interest” is erroneous and you should have discussed your personal issues with me at my User Talk Page – vs. posting to the VHEMT Article Talk Page (ATP). The major purpose of the ATP is for discussing improvement of the Article – not side issues between Editors.
(WP: COI)
SECTION: How to handle conflicts of interest
Communicating with suspected COI Editors (title revision by Skyeking)
- “The first approach should be direct discussion of the issue with the Editor, referring to this Guideline.”
In addition, the VHEMT Article has been reviewed by Wiki Administrators who have confirmed there isn’t any “conflict of interest” (your implication about me).
Finally, my leisure time is extremely limited; therefore I don’t have time to be a dedicated Wikipedian. So, I chose the VHEMT Article because I recognized that said Article suffered from gross vandalism and irresponsible Editors.
EDITOR REQUESTS (Skyeking):
1. You (Jagerman) voluntarily remove your statement (Section) from the Article Talk Page since it is erroneous and doesn’t relate to improving the Article.
2. You (Jagerman) voluntarily remove your article banner from the VHEMT Article Page since it is erroneous ––– (read VHEMT Article Page: References #8, #10 – #14).
Once again, my hope is that we are not at an impasse, and that as responsible Editors we can reach an understanding.
Wiki Regards,
Skyeking
(WP: EQ)
P.S.
Please respond at my User Talk Page within 72-hours. If you don’t, I will assume you are in agreement with me and I’ll remove your contested edits without further discussion.
