I was looking for a source for the dimensions I provided, but the Swedish article links to a download link from 2012 that is now only accessible via the Internet Archive, so it feels as if i shouldn't use that link if a more up-to-date map/dataset is available? Hi there, TOAK19054, and thank you for contributing Michael Grassi. As far as I can see, there are no longer any problems with citation errors. You say Grassi is "Canadian-American". That implies he also has US citizenship but I can see no evidence of this in your sources. It seems to me it would be safer to stick to Canadian or Canadian-born. @MumphingSquirrel:: Thanks for your interest. There's lots of stuff on Hermannn. I'll try to work on it a bit more today and bring it up to ORES GA. The ones still at C are Jeanne Guiot (ORES 2.96), Cornélie Lebon-de Brambilla (3.06), Geneviève Jourdain (3.15), Georgette Délibrias (3.24) and Simonne Caillère (3.68). Hermann is now at 3.64. As you probably know, to reach ORES GA they need to be close to 4.0. I've spent quite a bit of time on Caillère but cannot find much more. Perhaps there are reviews of her publications. Anything you can do to help things along would of course be appreciated. It would be great if we could bring all 72 up to ORES GA. I don't think I can remember any other project where there has been such interest in a large cluster of biographies. There are by the way still a few without photos. Some could no doubt be found in old newspapers but searches might be difficult and might require the help of interested librarians and archivists. Great! I'm not sure how much more I can pull out of the bag for Jeanne Guiot - have had a deep dive for her before. Although new things are always getting published so fingers crossed... Given the era of Cornélie Lebon-de Brambilla the records seem quite scarce without someone doing deeper archival research into her. Hi there, TOAK19054, and thanks for creating your first article. If you click on "View histroy" at the top os the Tobi Bakare page, you can see who has been editing it. The comments you mention came from Kqol. You can address the "fan" item by toning down the rather overenthusiastic level of language and making it more neutral. As for the "additional citations", it would be good to include details which have appeared in recognized newspapers. Some of the sources you have used appear to be closely associated with Bakare himself. Especially for living people, you should look for reliable independent sourses which cover the subject in some detail. See if you can address these points and let me know. Could you give me specific of examples of citations which need to be changed? Bakare's birthday while it seems to come from a promotional source, his school, is cited for his birth year and education, these are details seems like something his school would know. I can not find these details elsewhere as far as I have looked.

Because he is an Afro-Brit actor who starred mainly in a show set in the Caribbean, I am doubting whether or not he might fit Wikipedia's notions of notable. Hollywood trades would most likely not cover him, but other news organizations like Alt Africa, Radio Times, and The Guardian have. With that I feel he at least meets notability but not by American standards. Is this something we can work on to find a solution to find better sources which work for Wikipedia?

I used this source initially, but I felt it was like a "hey our actos are Oscar worthy! Come join the school!" and so it would not be usable. Coming Back to Women Social Entrepreneurs: Draft Article Review

You were very helpful a few years ago when I did a small project to improve the coverage of women who had won the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship. One of the subjects, Maryana Iskander, became CEO of Wikimedia Foundation not long after.

I'm coming back for a more intense round of work on social sector topics, including women and diverse social entrepreneurs. I wanted to check in with you as an expert on a draft to make sure I was still on the right page with the community as it has evolved in the last 6-8 years. I pushed a nonprofit article out a couple of months ago and ran into headwinds (still survived the AfD process) and want to minimize such challenges going forward.

Dear Ipigott, Thanks for the suggestion of an article on F. Gaspard. As she has a page in the French encyclopedia, I thought the citation/referencing would be easy but alas not! Most of the refs turned out to be vague or unreachable! So I have done a draft at User: Balance person/Francoise Gaspard (Sorry about the missing cedilla!) but it is not very good. Do you know much about her? I have had trouble finding good independent references. Anyway....if you had the time, could you possibly have a look? It needs a lot of work! 1. "Early life, education and career" section: Commonly, these are two headers, one being "Early life and education" and the other being "Career".
2. "Awards" section: Each award requires an inline citation or someone will come along and add {{citation needed|date=August 2026}} after each one that's missing it.
3. "Publications" section: Each book that has an isbn should include the isbn at the end of the line, e.g., {{isbn|1234567890}}. Commonly, if I noticed this in mainspace, I would add the {{AI-generated}} template and remove the "Reviewed" article status. I certainly haven't used AI myself but it is quite possible that whoever did the French language version did use AI. I do not have the books in question. I rather naively thought that the person who created the french article must have checked them out. I don't have the experience to deal with this and found the whole business of trying to chase the French citations an absolute nightmare. I have never used AI for refs myself and this is the first time that I have tried to use refs borrowed from a different language version. In the past I have found my own refs. Dear Balance person. Let me start with this: I did a quick look at some of your earlier biographies, and find you to be a great writer. Thanks for what you do around here.

There's an easy fix for the Gaspard article. If you can't find the books yourself through a google search, remove the 4 problematic refs and remove the sentences associated with them (just 1 sentence/ref will do, unless you think removing more than 1 sentence/ref would be better). Ping me afterwards and I'll mark the article as reviewed.

As for the broader concern regarding referencing in other language Wikipedias ... I'm in the same boat. I translate from the CA-, ES-, and FR-WPs and find the referencing to be hit-or-miss. Commonly, I end up choosing an article to translate only because its refs meet EN-WP requirements ... not because the subject (e.g., woman's biography) is the one I'd like to be translating. This leads me to think about the content bias I'm introducing ... adding not the most deserving woman into EN-WP (which would then get picked up and used by AI), but instead, choosing a biography based on the fact that some French-language editor did a good job with sourcing. Oh well; it's still a gain.

I went to publish a recent accolade the brand received by a national publication, but somehow when I went to submit, it deleted nearly 85% of the original wikipedia page information. Luckily, I had the page open on several tabs and was able to see the version I deleted and successfully copy it to a word doc to maintain the information.
