Hi, think you might want to look at this one again - there's four references which are links to facebook posts! Morwen (talk) 12:37, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, the sourcing in the article is not great. But the purpose of AfC is to accept drafts that will probably survive a listing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. To me, sources provided by User:JSFarman on the submitter's talk page are sufficient to pass WP:GNG. Ca talk to me! 13:14, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
Promotional username, promotional edits
[edit]Hey Ca, I just elevated your block on Glenaki Belgium (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki · SI) from a softblock to a hardblock. Seems like they made a sock and kept writing their promotional article, per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Glenaki Belgium. In future I believe you can block users who have a promotional username & promotional edits with the hardblock (Template:uw-spamublock) instead of the softblock to prevent them from simply making a new account and writing out the same promotional edits again. Thanks, Staraction (talk · contribs) 20:08, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
Submission Declined on 2 July 2026 (Nanobag)
[edit]Hi Ca, Thank you for taking the time to review the draft and for the note on Forbes contributor articles, The Grommet, and BuzzFeed that's very helpful and I have removed reliance on those in my thinking going forward. I'd like to make sure I understand the WP:NCORP bar correctly before doing any more work on the draft, and would really appreciate your guidance on a couple of points if you have a moment:
For a company like this, a consumer product brand whose available coverage is mostly product reviews and crowdfunding announcements, is there a realistic path to notability without staff-written company profiles in major business or design press? Or is that essentially the requirement, and the honest answer is to wait until such coverage exists?
Would non-English sources (for example, Hong Kong business press, or Norwegian/Dutch coverage of the founders) be weighed the same way as English-language sources if I can find any that qualify?
I want to make sure I am not wasting reviewer time with a resubmission that doesn't materially address the notability concern. If the honest read is that the sourcing isn't there yet, I'd rather hear that and hold off than resubmit prematurely.
I should also disclose (already noted on my user page) that I have a COI on this subject, which is why I am going through AfC rather than editing directly.
Thanks again for the time. Rune Nanobag (talk) 11:53, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
- If you can't find any more independent and reliable sources that discuss the brand in depth, you would have to wait until such coverage comes by. The goal is to have most of the information in an article reliable and independently sourced. As for your second question, yes, non-English sources are weighed equally. Fax App
[edit]Hello! I want to ask about Fax App. Is possible to restore the page, as it was not paid/ad. I am sure, that it has a place on wiki project. Best, MKoala (talk) 14:07, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, while I can't restore promotional material, I can email you the cited sources so you can try again. However, I seriously doubt the app passes Wikipedia's inclusion criteria for corporations. Ca talk to me! 15:36, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
