RIP
[edit]- I'm sorry to report that this user passed away on 5 April 2022. Anyone who would like verification of his passing can feel free to email me, but as far as I know he never revealed his real name onwiki so I'm not comfortable with connecting the dots publicly. I can't find a public obituary but I can find enough information that there's no reason to doubt that this user is deceased. I remember him as a prolific contributor to Australian topics, particularly on the Australian Wikipedians' notice board but he also frequently edited television articles on here. I'll write an obituary at Wikipedia:Deceased Wikipedians/2022#AussieLegend in due course, that anyone is free to edit. I found out about this situation due to a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Deceased Wikipedians#User:AussieLegend. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
