Request regarding Draft:Navaan Foundation

Hello @Asukite,

I was the creator of Draft:Navaan Foundation, which you recently deleted under G11. Would it be possible to restore a copy of the draft to my userspace so I can substantially revise it before any future submission? I plan to rewrite it to better comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly with regard to neutrality, verifiability, and the use of independent sources.

Thank you for your reply. I am not being paid to write about the topic. I was previously a member of the organization, but I am no longer affiliated with it or editing on its behalf. I decided to create the draft on my own initiative because I noticed that a number of organizations in my country have Wikipedia articles, and I thought Navaan Foundation might also meet Wikipedia's notability requirements if it could be supported by appropriate independent sources.

Thank you for your reply. At the moment, I don't have any additional independent, reliable sources beyond those that were included in the draft. I understand that independent sourcing is an important requirement, and I will continue looking for stronger coverage before considering any future submission.

Voldemort is a supervillain?

You may think differently but I find it dubious that Voldemort has been categorised in the article under "Supervillains" given Harry Potter is not considered to be a work of superhero fiction, anywhere and certainly not in anything on Wikipedia. • Improvement to Reading Lists: Community feedback around the placement of watchstar and watchlist buttons for the Reading Lists beta feature has been incorporated. 93% of participating users reported that it was useful. This feature allows saving articles for later reading – a wishlist item to bring the functionality to web.
• Creating custom edit suggestions: With the TextMatch feature, volunteers can now create custom local suggestions within the VisualEditor for improving Wikipedia articles. You can find examples from other communities for inspiration. Share your feedback.
• Dark mode for Content Translation: Content Translation now supports dark mode, fulfilling a Community Wishlist request. This brings the tool in line with the accessibility features available in the Vector 2022 and Minerva skins, helping reduce visual fatigue for users translating content.
• Mobile page preview: Based on the conclusion of the experiment, mobile page previews feature will not be rolled out. The experiment showed flat retention and negative indicator metrics, suggesting that mobile web readers preferred navigating directly to linked articles rather than using page previews.
• Scaling of Explore Feed to iOS: The Explore Feed Refresh initiative was tested with new and casual Wikipedia app readers. The refreshed feed helps readers discover new and relevant content. After a 10.5% increase in engagement with the feed, Home Feed redesign will be scaled to iOS by applying the learnings from the Android release.
• Improving Account Creation process: After running several Account Creation Experiments to improve registration completion rates, a new version of the username field on Create Account has been rolled out. Read more.
• Latest experiments: An ongoing experiment is testing to better guide Temporary Account users toward full account creation. See all live, upcoming, and completed experiments in Product & Technology.
• Tech News: The latest highlights from Tech News week 30 and 31 include that now wikis can restrict editing in the “User” namespace to only the page owner and certain user groups. See also the 50 community submitted tasks that were resolved over the last two weeks.

Digital democracy in Taiwan

Was digital democracy in Taiwan (the article, not the thing itself) created by Wikipedia:AI noticeboard#User:Heeheemalu?

I have the sources, so I can recreate it from scratch by reading the sources, searching for other sources, and summarising relevant material if they justify notability, but it's disappointing that it was LLM-created. It did actually seem a bit too good to be true. I had assumed that it was already thoroughly NPOVed and checked by the community. I'm definitely not asking for the wiki source text to be restored in my user area, because editing an LLM-created article is not worth the effort. I've already wasted much too much time in trying to do that. Much easier to rewrite from scratch if I have time. Boud (talk) 15:44, 6 August 2026 (UTC)

About Reverting Additions in "Patentscope"

Hello; You reverted my additions in Patentscope for a copyright notice, but have you checked that the reference I used "WIPO Website" is free to use under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license? Mervat (talk) 05:06, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

@Mervat I did not look that closely on that one, apologies. I'll keep WIPO in mind. I think that license also requires attribution. You can use Template:Creative Commons text attribution notice, I think the example from there would be {{Creative Commons text attribution notice|cc=by4|url=|author(s)=}}

Thanks for letting me know! I fixed the revision deletion, but it's still preferable not to use compatibly-licensed text verbatim. We still have to worry about neutrality and ensure we are including only what is necessary, and putting it in our own words is still preferable, but of course the extent to which it should be done will be subjective. @A412 I've been reluctant to do so as I haven't published 25 articles, but I do suppose saving NPP more work is worthy enough (from a read of the related discussion, the NPP queue was actually one of the opposing arguments to removing admin autopatrol in the first place). I've never been very active at NPP but I try to knock out a few articles for every one I add.

25,000 though, geez. I'll see if I can handle a few extra reviews. Thanks for keeping at it (and for reviewing mine!). ASUKITE 14:41, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion. After checking a random sample of other admins self-granting autopatrol (despite not having many articles), it seems uncontroversial to do so. I'm also going to make reviewing other editors for the permission part of my regular NPP work whenever I do go about it, as I think I can make a bigger impact there. I'll just un-review any of my work I'm on the fence about, which as I'm fairly careful in the first place, probably won't happen often. ASUKITE 16:41, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

Histmerge request

I was actually mistaken earlier when I suggested that a histmerge would be proper for Sack of Harar (1559) since I didn't understand that there were indeed two separate events. The article currently at Sack of Harar is apparently the more notable 1549-50 event, while the same user who expanded that has also expanded the 1559 event (the one that the former's merged history was actually about). I was also confused by the user's assertion that they were working on a new draft article for another event, which I thought was referring to the draft they had just moved into the mainspace, but was actually referring to their then-unpublished expansion of the 1559 event. Thus, I'm wondering if you could actually reverse your histmerge since I got that assessment wrong. Red Shogun412 (talk • contribs) 16:37, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
