Hi Sheikh Sibgotuddin Jaka! Welcome to Wikipedia! I would advise you to use the articles for creation process to create a draft article about the subject you wish to create an article about. This way, you'll have time to make improvements and expansions to the draft article's content, and have it reviewed and published when you're ready to take that step. I should also advise you to review Wikipedia's guideline pages on conflict of interest and no original research, as these commonly become relevant to the articles that new users try to create.

Also, since you're brand new to Wikipedia, I highly recommend that you go through Wikipedia's getting started page and that you complete Wikipedia's new user tutorial before you make any edits or take on any major tasks around here. Those tutorial pages will provide you with many important walkthroughs, guides, interactive lessons, and other information that will familiarize you with our policies and guidelines, how Wikipedia works, how to navigate around the site, and how to find important locations and pages. Huggle

Enable global max score (edits with higher score will be ignored - useful if you want to see only good edits) and Enable global min score (edits with lower score will be ignoref - useful if you want to see only bad edits). Hi Arcrev1, and thanks for the message! Answering your question and explaining how things work regarding a "score" on Huggle will be easier for you to understand if I explain the "scoring system" to you first. Wikipedia currently uses a machine learning service called ORES to determine the quality and likelihood of disruption for each and every edit that is made to the project (It's going to be switched to a different machine learning service, but it currently uses ORES as of right now). The specific score that Huggle looks at is the ORES score regarding the probability that the edit is vandalism or disruption made in bad faith.

If I recall correctly, the score for each edit will range from -700 to +700 (but don't quote me on that; it could be +/- 1000). The lower the score is (such as being a very negative number), the higher the likelihood is that the edit is good and doesn't contain vandalism. Just the opposite is true: the higher the score is (in this case, a very positive number), the higher the likelihood is that the edit is disruptive and does contain vandalism.

If you want to set Huggle to only add edits to your queue if they have a higher likelihood of being disruptive or containing vandalism, enable the option in Huggle to set a global minimum score. Leave the value at 0 for now until you get a feel for what edits are now showing up. If you're still seeing a bunch of good edits being added to your queue and want to increase the level of strictness, increase the value by +50 each time until you see the results that you're looking for. On the other hand, if you're noticing a sudden significant decline in the number of disruptive edits that are being added to your Huggle queue and if other pages and statistics are showing that a lot of vandalism is being added around the project and being reverted by other editors, do the opposite - lower the value by -50 each time until you find a value that gives you what you're looking for.

Just remember: The higher the score, the higher the probability of being disruption. The lower the score, the lower the probability. It'll likely take a little bit of time before you find a threshold that you're happy with, but that's what you'll want to do if you want to drill down the number of edits being queued and focus only on likely bad edits. Arcrev1 - Sure, no problem. The best way to do this is to click on the System menu, click on Options..., then click on the Queue filter tab. Create a new custom queue filter and give it a name (I just call mine "OSHWAH"). On the bottom-right of the queue filter options, you'll just tick the boxes next to the namespaces that you want to ignore (in your situation, you'll tick all of the boxes since the mainspace doesn't appear to be in the list of locations that you can ignore), and then save the new queue filter. Make sure that you set the Default for this site: option to use the custom filter that you just created. This way, Huggle will automatically use your custom queue filter (and use those custom filter options you set) by default every time you launch Huggle. That should set the Huggle queue to only display what you're looking for.

Regarding your pending changes reviewer permissions:  Done. If you change your mind and want the permissions again later, just officially request them again here or let me know and I can just click the button for you. @Oshwah: Thank you for the kind answer. For clarifying, after you answered me I have not yet opened Huggle. Here is why I get confused. I am currently using the WIKI provider, and its queue is very fast, almost like the normal recent changes page on Wikipedia where edits appear every second on all pages. So I wonder if I should adjust the ORES, the one with scores, etc. I enabled the global minimum score and set it to different values like -50, 50, -5, 25, etc. And I noticed that every time I changed it, the percentage of edits showing in the queue dropped almost 75 percent, making the edits very few. Of course, I know that the score filters the edits which is why they become fewer, but is it normal that it becomes so few that you sometimes have to wait 30 seconds before the next edit appears in the queue? And when I look at them, the edits are not even disruptive. If you do not mind, do you also use these settings? Maybe you can share how you set yours so I can try it and see if it works better for me. Thank you. - Arcrev1 (talk) 10:56, 6 September 2025 (UTC)

Arcrev1 - No problem; always happy to lend a hand! ;-) I do not set a minimum or maximum score threshold in my Huggle options, and I don't exclude any namespaces in my custom queue options. The only things that I exclude from being added to my Huggle queue are my own edits and edits that are reverts (these are set in your custom queue filter settings). I also enable the setting to make instant reverts instead of adding a delay of a few seconds (be careful with this - enabling this will disable you from being able to undo or cancel a mistaken keypress before the revert is made).

Huggle, by default, will use the XmlRcs feed for pulling recent changes, but there is a setting in the options (at the top under the "feeds" tab) that tells Huggle to use IRC for recent changes, if possible. I'm not sure why that setting is there, and I believe that it is enabled by default (I don't remember setting or changing this). In my experience with playing around with these options and which feed to use, I didn't find a significant delay or downside with using one vs another. The different feeds are available for you to choose in case one becomes degraded or goes down, so that you can switch to a different one while that feed's issue or downtime is being resolved. The default, I believe, is that the IRC option is enabled in the settings (again, I'm not 100.0% sure on that and I don't know why it's set the way that it is), but I don't think that you can go completely wrong with choosing a different provider.

After reading your latest response, I took a few moments and played around with the minimum and maximum score settings on my Huggle instance, and I noticed the exact same thing as you did: the number of edits that would be added to my Huggle queue dropped significantly when I set a "minimum score" threshold, but I haven't taken the time to compare the resulting changes and what appears in the Huggle queue to other tools in order to find out exactly why. I can definitely say that the percentage of edits in the Huggle queue that I revert vs skip without doing anything will range anywhere from maybe 5% (such as during the evening in the United States) to upwards of 15% (such as during peak usage times in the United States and when school is in session). That means that there's 85% - 95% of edits that I don't revert, which could mean that the significant decline is simply because the filtering out of likely non-disruptive edits is working. However, when I changed the settings and used the "maximum score" threshold option, I expected to see around the same number of edits being added to the queue (minus some disruptive ones), but I also saw the exact same thing: a significant decline in edits being added to the queue for review. I did make a few adjustments to the values, but I also saw that edits that were scored outside of the threshold were being added to the queue. I know that ORES assigns multiple scores and in different areas and aspects, but I'm not 100% sure if Huggle only uses the ORES score for likelihood of being problematic, or if it takes the likelihood of being good faith or any other scores into account when determining a "value". I'm looking through the ORES and Huggle documentation, so it might be a little while before I have any kind of answer that's more in-depth than that. :-)

Arcrev1 - Okay, I have an update for you: I managed to spend a bit more time messing with the "minimum and maximum score" settings on Huggle, and after dialing things down a bit, I think I know what's going on. Setting the value starting at "0" and then moving it by only +/-50 points from that mid-point is going to result in a lot of edits not being added to the queue. That +/- 1000 ORES score range is very wide when applied to edits on Wikipedia. If you took two edits where the exact same vandalism was added to the same article, but where one of them has just a little bit more shenanigans added than the other, you'd see quite a difference with the ORES score when comparing the two. We were starting from the very middle (between -1000 and +1000); I should've recommended that you start from the end of the minimum score threshold (like setting the value to -250 to start) and then had you increase the value by +50 to nudge that setting and define the parameters to the exact "dial-in" threshold that you wanted. That was my fault... and I apologize; I should've taken more time to understand what was going on first before having you go on this "wild goose-chase" alongside with me and causing you more confusion instead of helping you.

I figured this out after I realized that I kinda should of known this from the get-go. :-) Huggle has this really cool menu option for the queue that will clear it of any edits with ORES scores lower than -200 (meaning that it clears edits that are likely good and don't have obvious problems). You can use the keyboard shortcut Control + Alt + D to tell Huggle to remove those edits from the current queue at any time. I went and enabled the "minimum score" setting so that only problematic edits will be queued, and I set the value to "-200", which is the same threshold that the menu option uses when clearing out the current queue list. This ended up coinciding perfectly like I thought it would! After enabling the minimum score option and setting the threshold to "-200", that keyboard shortcut no longer has any effect on the current queue since they don't even get added to the queue to begin with! Cool, so I was able to confirm that these options do, in fact, work exactly like they should. I just had to not be a bonehead and set a value that I actually use to compare to something else... ;-)

Anyways, try testing that setting again in Huggle. Enable the "minimum score" setting in the options and set the value to be "-200" instead of "0". If you still see a lot of good edits clogging up your queue, move that value up by +50 and set it to "-150". Keep going until you get your Huggle queue to show the level of edits that you're looking for. The same would would obviously apply if you set the "maximum score" setting (for only adding good edits to the queue), but in the opposite direction when it comes to setting a value. You would start by setting it to "200", then slowly lower it by -50 each time in order to filter out the problematic edits and only have good edits added to the queue.

Give this a try and let me know if this resolves the issue that you saw with most of the edits not being queued (it definitely resolved mine), and from there, we can talk about anything else that you'd like to do in order to get your Huggle queue to be filtered to the way that you want it to be. :-) Best - ~Oshwah~^{(talk) (contribs)} 17:52, 6 September 2025 (UTC)

Hello, I just opened Huggle and your help about filtering the queue namespaces is very helpful. But regarding the ORES global minimum, I set it to -250. To be fair, there were a lot of edits showing up in the queue, and most of them were disruptive. I tried to increase it by adding +50 so it became -200, to see the real difference. I noticed that there were fewer disruptive edits in the queue, and also fewer normal edits appearing in the queue. On the opposite side, when I subtracted -50, so the global minimum value became -300, there were a bit more edits in the queue, and the same with disruptive edits. Maybe with a lower value, more disruptive edits appear. Is that right? I'm not really sure. - Arcrev1 (talk) 03:55, 7 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi Arcrev1! I apologize for the delay responding to you here. If you're enabling the option to set a global minimum score, then you'll want to start with a value of -250. Any edit that receives an ORES score lower than -250 won't appear in your Huggle queue. Remember: the likelihood that an edit isn't problematic increases as an ORES score goes further and further into a negative value. Hence, when you set a global minimum score value of -250, you're telling Huggle not to add edits with a higher probability of being legitimate and good to the queue for you to manually look through and review. As you increase the minimum score value and move it closer to 0, you're increasing the threshold of what edits are no longer going to show up in your queue. That could mean that very likely good edits and somewhat-likely good edits are going to skip the queue. If you were to change the threshold from -250 to -150 (for example), you're likely going to see a decrease in the total number of edits that will be added to the queue, since you're now telling Huggle to ignore edits with an ORES score up to -150, and add edits that scored above this value to your queue.

The fact that you noticed fewer disruptive edits being added to your Huggle queue is either because they weren't obvious or blatant vandalism and happened to be scored lower than -200, or it was just a coincidence and less disruptive edits were being made during the time that you changed and tested the new value. You might try testing the changes during off-peak hours when disruption in total isn't as high (during the evening in the US, or when schools in the US aren't in session) and see what happens. Playing with the minimum value score option until you find one that you prefer is going to entail finding a balance between seeing some good edits showing up in your queue and not seeing some problematic edits showing up in your queue. There's always going to be edits that are problematic but that aren't scored a highly positive value, and vice versa; there's always good faith edits that happen to have issues that'll be made, and bad faith edits that are sneaky, subtle, or aren't absolutely blatant that are made as well. These are the edits that you're trying to find a balance between as you adjust the minimum score value. I hope my response makes sense to you and that I was able to help clear up any confusion. Hi Ruby Bhushan! Welcome to Wikipedia! I'll be more than happy to assist you and explain some important policies and guidelines that you need to know about. In short, I advise and highly recommend that you review and understand Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines (including Wikipedia's page on writing autobiographies), as well as Wikipedia's neutral point of view and no original research policy pages before you continue doing anything.

In short, writing an autobiography or contributing to articles about subjects that you have a personal conflict of interest with with are highly discouraged activities on Wikipedia, and I don't recommend that you spend any of your time time doing these things at all. This is in part due to the fact that writing anything about yourself and in a manner that reflects a neutral point of view is nearly impossible, and "citing yourself" as the source with any content you write isn't allowed on Wikipedia. Users and patrollers will see the page you create and will quickly notice the issues regarding Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. To put this situation into a perspective for you: of the 100 articles I've seen users create about themselves (autobiographies), I'll easily say that all of them usually end up being deleted. I just don't want you to be left feeling disheartened nor let you spend hours of time for all of it to go completely wasted when the article is eventually deleted. Instead, I recommend that you focus your time and effort toward improving existing articles in topics or subject areas that interest you.

To answer your question: If you become interested in creating a new article about a subject that doesn't involve yourself or a subject that you have a personal conflict of interested with, I recommend that you use the articles for creation process and follow the instructions and directions provided there in order to create a draft page. Using a draft page will be helpful and useful to you, because they allow you all of the time that you'll need to construct the article, write content and add references, and make changes and improvements as you continue researching the subject. When you're ready publish your draft, you'll be able to submit it for review, and (assuming no issues are found) a reviewer will publish it for you by moving it to the article mainspace. I also advise you to review Wikipedia's policy pages on notability and verifiability, as they will be relevant to any articles that you try to create.

Also, since you're brand new to Wikipedia, I highly recommend that you go through Wikipedia's getting started page and that you complete Wikipedia's new user tutorial before you make any edits or take on any major tasks around here. Hi there, and yes I did! That whole "spitting" incident between Jalen Carter and Dak Prescott was... certainly interesting! It was only 0:06 into the opening game of the season, and we had an injury and an ejection - football is definitely back, baby! When I first saw everything when watching it live on TV, I thought to myself, "Jalen! You are an idiot! Why? Why would you do that?!!". However, after watching multiple replays later, I definitely think that Dak Prescott started it all. He walked to the edge of the huddle, spat in Jalen's direction (pretty much toward him), then smirked at him. All in all, they're both going to get hefty fines by the NFL. The officials just didn't catch Dak doing what he did. My prediction for this season? I'll call it now: Philadelphia vs Kansas City at Superbowl LX. Hi ERcheck! No worries; that was an easy case. ;-) The process of creating a new SPI case is a bit unique compared to what you typically do when filing a discussion at other noticeboards and pages, so I completely understand. Even with the amount of experience I have with creating SPI cases, investigating evidence, taking action, and closing out cases - I still manage to make mistakes occasionally... sometimes big ones that require me to break some SPI cases completely apart in order to fix, so you have nothing to worry about. As you inevitably run into more sock puppets, you'll become more comfortable with creating SPI cases as time goes on. There are also some SPI user scripts available that help make things a bit easier and much less daunting too, so check them out and see if they'll help make life a little easier for you in the future. Of course, if you run into any questions regarding SPI, get stuck somewhere and need help, or if you just need me to take a look at something, please don't hesitate to reach out to me and let me know. The only question that I have that nobody on Wikipedia has answered for me when I ask them is: ...what does a ...duck ...smell like? I see editors saying on SPI cases all the time that they "smell a duck". What duck? What smell? ...Where?!! I ask and I ask, and I never get a response from anybody! What does a duck smell like?!! Polygnotus - I mean, that makes sense. Keeping in mind that ducks spend most of their time on the water, I can't say that I'm surprised that they smell so bad. I'll give my dog a bath, and not but one week later, she'll start to stink like dog again! ...And she absolutely hates being in water and being wet! As soon as I take her collar off, she knows that's coming. Jp33442 - Always remember that we don't know the true identity of the best sockpuppet user that's ever existed on Wikipedia. Do you know why? Because sockpuppet users who are good at what they do never get caught. I could be the most prolific, egregious, and notorious LTA that Wikipedia has ever known to exist, and nobody has caught me because I'm able to perfectly hide all evidence of doing so, or I'm a legitimate editor who follows Wikipedia's policies, cares deeply about the project, and have absolutely no log entries or behaviors that show that I engage in any kind of nefarious activity on the project because I actually don't do so. Restoring deleted pages

Hello, Oshwah,

Just a reminder, when you restore a deleted page, you often have to take further action in addition to restoring the deleted page. If it is a draft or User page that was deleted because of CSD G13 reasons, you need to make an additional edit to the draft article after restoration or else it immediately becomes eligible for G13 deletion again. If the deleted page was deleted via Proposed deletion, you need to remember to remove the PROD tag or it could be deleted again. Same goes with an article or redirect deleted via AFD or RFD, remember to remove the deletion tags. These are all steps you have to take care of it you help out at WP:REFUND. Thank you. Liz ^{Read! You cannot add content to articles and "cite yourself" simply because you have a close relationship or experience with the article subject. Adding content citing one's relationship, experience, association, or even one's own website, work, or research constitutes original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. This is because it's impossible for other editors and readers to verify that content is accurate and true. It's as if I were to say, "I'm the President of the United States". Would you believe me? No! You'd want some kind of verification, source, or proof to show that what I'm saying is true. If you asked me for that information and I responded, "I'm citing myself as the proof" - you wouldn't just disbelieve my statement, you'd probably laugh and think that I'm crazy.

I mean this with all due respect, but your edit and the "source" you provided in your message here is almost the same thing as the example I just talked about. There's no way for us to verify that the content is correct, and this is why original research is not allowed. According to Wikipeida's verifiability and No original research policies, all content on Wikipedia must be attributable to a reliable source, and specific information such as direct or spoken quotes, dates, data, information that's instantaneous, or other content likely to be challenged or removed - must be directly attributed to a reliable source via a citation. Perryprog! Thanks for the message and for all the love and encouragement! It's mostly in the past now, but I definitely can say that having a brain tumor about the size of 1.5 golfballs added a huge inconvenience to my life over this entire year. I had it discovered in January after I started having seizures in my sleep, bit off a big chunk of my tongue one night, and woke up to a mouthful and a pillow soaked with blood. Should this to happen to you, expect to have a migraine for two weeks straight following your surgery, and for it to be 20x more painful and powerful than anything you've ever felt before with a migraine in your entire life. It was easily the most painful thing (head-wise) that I had to get through.

I'm just now expecting to receive a letter from the DMV clearing me to be able to resume driving motor vehicles within the next week, which will make it about six months since I had my driving privileges suspended. I'd say that I'm about 90% recovered from everything as of right now, and the remaining 10% will likely take some time before everything re-adjusts completely back to how things were before this whole ordeal came to light. All in all, I really can't complain... I'm alive, and I'll make a full recovery. It could've been much much worse... ;-) ~Oshwah~^{(talk) (contribs)} 04:50, 8 September 2025 (UTC)

45dogs - I only partially blocked both of the IP users for one week and from editing that SPI page only (apart from being able to create any accounts). I wanted to see if any of the two IP users would start to disrupt other pages, which I thought might prove to be useful information if they did. I'll look into both IP addresses a bit more here in just a moment. You're likely right about them being either proxies or VPNs; once I partially blocked the first one from that SPI page, the second one started their shenanigans a just a few minutes later, suggesting that it's likely one person that's behind them and they switched to another IP address after finding out that the first one was blocked. ;-) ~Oshwah~^{(talk) (contribs)} 02:47, 10 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi CosmosAce! Thanks for leaving me a message with your question. I'll be happy to point you toward the relevant policies and guidelines and assist you.

I advise and highly recommend that you review and understand Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, as well as Wikipedia's neutral point of view and no original research policy pages before you continue doing anything. I'm not sure if you have any kind of conflict of interest regarding this famous person you speak of, but you should review the relevant page that I linked you to if you do.

In short, creating or contributing to articles about subjects that you have a personal conflict of interest with are highly discouraged activities on Wikipedia, and I don't recommend that you spend any of your time time doing these things at all. This is in part due to the fact that writing content on subjects that you have a conflict of interest with and in a manner that reflects a neutral point of view is nearly impossible, and "citing yourself" as the source with any content you write isn't allowed on Wikipedia. Users and patrollers will see the page you create and will quickly notice the issues regarding Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. To put this situation into a perspective for you: of the 100 articles I've seen users create about subjects that they have a conflict of interest with, I'll easily say that all of them usually end up being deleted. I just don't want you to be left feeling disheartened nor let you spend hours of time for all of it to go completely wasted when the article is eventually deleted. Instead, I recommend that you focus your time and effort toward improving existing articles in topics or subject areas that interest you.

To answer your question: If you become interested in creating a new article about a subject that doesn't involve a subject that you have a personal conflict of interested with, I recommend that you use the articles for creation process and follow the instructions and directions that are provided for you there. It will help you with creating a draft article that you can use to construct and create the article for publishing. Creating an article draft will be helpful and useful to you, as they allow you all of the time that you'll need to write the article's content, add references to reliable sources, and make changes and improvements as you continue researching the subject. When you're ready publish your draft, you'll be able to submit it for review, and (assuming no issues are found) a reviewer will publish the article by moving it to the article mainspace for you. I also advise you to review Wikipedia's policy pages on notability and verifiability, as they will be relevant to any articles that you try to create.

Also, since you're brand new to Wikipedia, I highly recommend that you go through Wikipedia's getting started page and that you complete Wikipedia's new user tutorial before you make any edits or take on any major tasks around here. These pages will provide you with extremely helpful introductions, walkthroughs, guides, interactive lessons, and tutorials that will familiarize you with the interface and navigating around the website, important policies and guidelines that you need to know, proper etiquette and how different processes on Wikipedia work, how to edit articles and communicate with other users, how to find important locations, pages and information, and where you can ask for help if you have questions or get stuck anywhere. Most users who take this advice, read through these pages, and complete the new user tutorial tell me later that the pages were significantly helpful to them and saved them hours of time and frustration they might've experienced otherwise.

Misplaced Huggle warnings

A couple of days ago (8 September), I came on a user talk page which you've made an edit using Huggle and discovered the warning made by you was directly above a ClueBotNG message without a section generated. This is not the only time I have noticed this as today I have discovered a couple of more occurrences which other people may not be aware of, as per Wikipedia_talk:Huggle/Feedback#Misplaced_warnings. I don't think Huggle would be working correctly if newer warnings are placed on top and without a section header. Hi Iggy the Swan! I've also noticed that this has been happening sometimes when warnings are being left using Huggle, and I'm quite certain that it isn't an issue that's isolated to just myself or certain Huggle users because of a setting that they applied. I've seen this issue when I visit the user talk pages of editors after others have left warnings using Huggle as well. Something must've changed somewhere that is occasionally causing Huggle to not see that previous warnings have been left, which is causing it to leave the incorrect level warning (such as a level 3 warning after a level 2 warning was left) and not do so underneath the section header for the current month.

Thanks for pointing me to the discussion that you started on Wikipedia talk:Huggle/Feedback; I'll respond and add to it sometime today, so that a solution can be found (which will probably involve a fix being made to the application's source code and an updated version be released). If I happen to run into what is likely causing this problem or find a solution, I'll let you know (and update the feedback discussion as well). Kansas Bear - Congratulations! A promotion and a pay raise always feels awesome, and I'm very happy to hear of your son getting married! That must feel great! This year has unfortunately been a really wild one as far as my health and major life events go. You might've seen the very top of my user page at least once this year, but if you haven't - there's a link that will take you to a subpage where I talk about my health.

In short, after starting to suddenly experience seizures and loss of consciousness, doctors discovered a large brain tumor in my head at the beginning of this year, which was feared to be brain cancer. It basically put everything going on in my life to a complete halt. The frequent emergency room and hospital visits I had going on meant that I had to miss a lot of work, which led to the company terminating my employment - so my healthcare benefits and other insurance through my employer were immediately lost. My driving privileges were immediately suspended following the discovery, and I had to schedule regular appointments with a neurologist on top of everything. After months of waiting until I could even schedule my brain surgery, I was finally contacted, and scheduled the surgery at their earliest open availability. Months later after that, I underwent a six-hour operation to have the tumor removed.

I'm doing fine now, and I'd say that I'm about 90% recovered from everything, but the entire health issue and the time I had to allocate towards taking care of it left me unemployed, I had to move out of the house that I was renting and move in with family and in a whole different city, and I'm just now in the process of having my neurologist sign off on paperwork so that the DMV will lift the suspension of my driver's license so that I can drive again (likely within the next two weeks). Basically, because of this brain tumor, my entire year up till about a month ago was spent entirely on managing it and getting healthy again.

Anyways, I don't wanna be downer or anything to you! It's all good; I'm alive, will make a full physical recovery, and will eventually will return back to living a normal life like I used to. Basically, my next goal from there is to find a job, and start saving up so I can move back into a place on my own. We'll see how long it takes until that happens... thank you! I appreciate you acting so quickly on this manner. my only request is to (while the page can still be protected) to restore the true and factual version of the page before @Italyino began disruptively editing it. The most up to date version of it is (because I am in an episode of only murders in the building tv show (which aired yesterday for the first time (during the edit war)) from 11:00, 10 September 2025 that is the most up to date and accurate version. as i said, I am dane diliegro and can provide proof of this if necessary. You can see, this page has been attacted by @Italyino back on June 30th, about my third passport.

In summary, I am requesting the page to be restored to its 11:00, 10 September 2025 version while protected, to insure most up to date and accurate edit. thank you.

Dadilmotos - Thanks for the kind words regarding my health. It's been a rough year for me, I'm not gonna lie... but I'm doing my best to get my life back to normal and how life was before the brain tumor was discovered... :-)

I took the revision of the page that you linked me to and compared it to the revision that's currently published, and as you can see here, the only difference (other than the addition of the {{pp-dispute}} template to the top of the page - you can ignore that) is that there's part of a sentence in the "personal life" section of the article that's missing in the current revision. When applying full page protection to articles that are biographies of living people, my highest and main concern is that there's no unreferenced contentious content present on the published revision. Compared to the version that you're okay with, the current revision appears to be sufficient while any discussions take place on the article's talk page. The problem is that I'm limited to what things I can do after an article has been fully protected. Reverting the revision of the article to someone's preferred version can be seen by editors and members of the community as me "taking a side" or favoring the viewpoint of one or more editors over the viewpoint of others, and when I'm supposed to act as a neutral party. Have you started a discussion on the article's talk page and suggested that the revision you linked here be set as the article's current revision?

Like I said, fear not! The article is protected from editing and cannot be edited by anyone except administrators. You can read more information about the application of full protection to an article as well as all policies and restrictions that are in place (including users like me) by clicking here. When the full protection expires, the article and the appropriate content will undoubtedly be resolved. Users who try to make disruptive edits (or continue them) will be blocked from editing. I really appreciate you taking the time to read that. when it comes to "taking sides" by letting the article stay in its current state, you are taking the side of @Italyino, who came in and made deletions to the original page as it has been for a while now. they came in, made deletions, and the page was protected thereafter. what I am requesting is not to take my side, but revert the page back to its original state before the edit war started. that way, no ones side is taken. if that makes sense? Dadilmotos - I understand your viewpoint in that keeping the article to the revision currently published puts Italyino's edits at an "advantage", but I applied the page protection to the article and without looking or taking the revision currently published into account. I of course checked the current revision of the article afterwards to make sure that it didn't contain content that was a serious violation of policy (such as Wikipedia's biographies of living persons or copyright policies), but I left the current revision alone to keep myself as a neutral party.

If you have a few minutes of time, take a few moments and read through this page, which talks about an article's stable revision (there's also a humor/parody page that discusses the inevitable act of an administrator publishing "the wrong version" of a page that they fully protected). In short, the revision of the article that's currently published is not an endorsement of that revision, nor is it meant to mean that it is "superior" or "preferred" over other revisions. Editors can request a different version of the article be restored, and any administrator can carry out the request after a discussion between involved editors take place. Just because the current revision of the article reflects Italyino's edits doesn't mean that it is preferred or superior to other versions due to it being the current revision, if that makes sense. It looks like you've added a request to the article's talk page. I just want to remind you that I am the subject of this page, and while im aware that i now need to be using the talk page to request for updates, I can assure you that the original version of this page (before @Italyino) edited it last edited it is the most accurate and up to date. I know that because I am the person who is living what is on this page. suffice to say, this current version, which seems to be @Italyino having the last word and having the page locked the way they wanted it, is in fact not up to date. I will remain patient, I will hang tight, but as I said, it is really frustrating knowing that this page reflecting my own life for others to see has been tampered with by someone with a vendetta against me because of who I was in a relationship with. Like I mentioned above: Because a certain revision of a fully protected article is the current revision does not constitute an endorsement of that revision whatsoever. No matter what revision is currently published, remember that it will always 100% be the the wrong version every single time. Don't let it bother you that an edit by Italyino happened to make it through to the current revision. There's no doubt in my mind that it'll be undone and the content that was added before the disruption was made will be restored. The article had to be put into full protection due to the volume of edit warring that was going on, and to put a stop to all of that. In the end, everything will all get fixed... I'm happy to be at this point in the recovery as well, but getting my life back to how everything was before it all started is going to take more time. Everything's going fine, more or less, in my world. Nothing at all to complain about compared to your ordeal! There's one area I could use your eyes. The Killing of Iryna Zarutska article has seen edit wars of late. A two day full protection didn't stop it; it almost immediately re-erupted after that expired. I placed another full protection, this time for the duration of the RfC; see discussion. I don't need your assistance regarding the protection or its explanation, but I could use your assistance in one way. Some editors have expressed concern that edit requests were not answered in a timely manner during the 2 day protection. Having another set of admin eyes watch for edit requests on that talk page would be useful. I can't ask you to review and close the rfc about the name inclusion, as you did make one edit that included the name, leaving the potential that people would consider you involved. Deleted image on Radar speed gun page

Hello Oshwah.

I saw that you restored the content I deleted on the page Radar speed gun. This content I deleted was the first image on the article that had the description of a "Microdigicam Laser radar gun in use in Brazil". I left a comment after I deleted it stating that: "The first image in an article about radar speed guns was not a radar gun nor a "laser radar gun". It was an LTI UltraLyte LiDAR."

I apologize if this was considered inadequacy or improper, I am new to editing on Wikipedia. I figured this was an adequate explanation for the deletion but I will explain further now.

The description of the image was not fitting. This device in the image was an Laser Technology Inc. (LTI) UltraLyte 20-20 LiDAR fitted to logging equipment so that it photographs vehicles as it measures them. This device is not a radar gun nor does it contains any radar technology similar to the ones seen in radar guns. The device uses completely separate and distinct principles to calculate speed and thus should not be confused with radar guns. It is common to see them confused, but they are not the same and should not be treated as such. It'd be the same as using the image of an alligator on a crocodile article or confusing CT scans and MRI scans.

This confusion is only exacerbated when a LiDAR is the first image in an article about radar guns.

I'm happy to hear that you decided to become a mentor and assist with helping new users with getting started on Wikipedia. :-) That's a good question... it might just be that your mentor dashboard hasn't updated and caught up in relation to the actual number of mentees that you have assigned to you after the accounts were created. You might try seeing if purging your dashboard page causes it to update and display a different number of mentees that are assigned to you. Pro-anti-air - No problem; always happy to help! :-) I have the same gadget enabled and I also use the time clock as a shortcut to purge a page that needs it. I don't have an answer for you at the moment, but think that you'll be more likely to find an answer if you start a new discussion on the WikiProject editor retention talk page. Thans very much! The user in question is Postaldude22. In short, he is adding a ton of errors. I can let the copyright issues go (I was mistaken about one passage, and he has rephrased the other).

I have only looked into three articles, and need to step back from this now, but someone should look over his previous contributions.

• Fiat–Revelli Modello 1935: The user added a lot of errors, I reverted, he undid my reversion, and SarekOfVulcan stepped in to again remove the error-filled edit.
• Armaguerra Mod. 39 rifle: The user added many errors and some text which appeared verbatim elsewhere. I reverted. He undid my reversion, but then rephrased the portion which appeared elsewhere. The errors remain.
• Fiat–Revelli Modello 1914: The user added a lot of errors, as well as a portion which I wrongly thought was plagiarized. I reverted, he undid my reversion and reacted with anger on his Talk page. I have apologized for my mistake. The errors remain.
  • I can give more detail on the errors, but if you take a glance, you'll see them: unsourced claims, removing previous sourced content, spelling, erratic caps and bolding, punctuation, incorrect nowiki breaking things, citation problems, renaming the subject of the article without explanation, a paragraph in the lede which is about an entirely different gun...

All in all, these additions are not improvements, but I probably shouldn't be the one to deal with it. I muddied the waters with my mistake about the copyright issue, and feel this would benefit from a new editor taking a look.

Hi there, thanks so much for the reply. Yes, I would love it if you'd take a look at those other two (and perhaps his older contributions as well)... I need someone with fresh eyes to determine if those recent changes are worth cleaning up, or should be removed. I did have brief interaction with Postaldude22 on his Talk page, but he's made no effort to clean up his own text.

Fiat–Revelli Modello 1914 still contains the myriad issues as above.

He did reword some of Armaguerra Mod. 39 rifle, and this article isn't as bad, but many issues remain... compare the old and new first paragraph under Genesis and development. It now has a source, but makes less sense and includes a nonexistent word.

I recognize that this is someone editing in a language that's not his first, but I genuinely believe he's asking for too much cleanup work from others (not to mention the issues of removing sourced content, and adding unsourced).

Dadilmotos - Like I said in another discussion with you earlier, unreferenced content on a biography of a living person is usually removed – especially if the content is contentious – due to Wikipedia's strict policies governing these kinds of articles. Unless there's a reliable source that supports the content being added, it's likely not going to remain on the article. I understand that you're subject of the article in question, but "citing yourself" as a reference isn't allowed on Wikipedia. You may not think it right now, but these policies are important and exist for your benefit. Think if we were to allow unreferenced content to be published on the article that was libelous. That would obviously be really bad! If you haven't already, I recommend reviewing Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines and encourage you to avoid editing the article. I believe that I pointed you to this page in an earlier discussion. The best practice for all editors on Wikipedia is to completely avoid articles on topics or subjects that they have a personal conflict of interest with. This is why a block was proposed in the discussion that I started. If you have more questions, you're welcome to ask them here. I would, however, suggest that you ask them in the discussion that I started with the community. (talk page watcher) Hi Dadilmotos, I'm another administrator here, and noticed this conversation, so I thought I'd give you another independent opinion on what has happened. Oshwah has been doing a lot of work to try and come to a solution that would be satisfactory for you (and remember, Oshwah is a volunteer, as we all are). You have a COI with the article, because you are the subject of the article - put simply, you shouldn't be editing it at all, ever, unless it is to revert simple vandalism (and that doesn't mean stuff you disagree with, or which is wrong, we're talking about intentional insertion of nonsense or profanity). You are still able to make edits to the talk page, to propose changes to the article.

I'll explain why we do that. Even with the very best of intentions, someone who is closely connected to an article can find it hard to make objective decisions about what should and should not be included; it can also be tempting for them to introduce information which they know to be true, but are unable to verify by citing a reliable source. They also have a natural and understandable tendency to try to reflect things in as positive a light as possible, rather than writing neutrally and objectively. For all those reasons, editors are strongly discouraged from editing the articles they are connected to, and they are almost always blocked from doing so if they can't follow that strong discouragement.

Some context - my partner is a notable academic. We have an article about her. I did not write it, I do not edit it, and I don't look at it, because I have a COI and it might be just too tempting to correct any mistakes or fill in some blanks. I am not the right person to do that work - I have to put my faith in the thousands of other other editors on this platform to get the job right. So, yeah - this might feel unjust, but your best bet is just to stick to either ignoring the article entirely, or making suggestions for other people to consider on its talk page. I appreciate all your help thus far, but if you look at the history of the page, youll see that user @italyino also did some disruptive editing to DiLiegro's Israeli heritage back in June as well (was warned about it), erasing his status as an Israeli national (which was never rectified or reverted, no less) and now is clearly back again doing more disruptive editing (which also has not only not been reverted, but lead to myself getting banned from the page. I have supplied sources for both in which diliegro talks about his israeli nationality AND his personal life regarding his girlfriend at the time (Wilde and Doja cat), i just think this matter needs to be looked into more from the lens of the disruptive editor (italyino) and not the person trying to restore the page to its original form (myself) Dadilmotos (talk) 16:36, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Laxmi Narayan should also be procedurally closed as the edits have been BANREVERTed so WP:ATD-R does not apply. I'd do it myself but a little ways back I remember suggesting or supporting a suggestion to filter out non-AC AfD closes that were not withdrawals to combat LTA abuse since the other use cases were so narrow they were not likely to come up much yes I know irony, so if not you I'd probably have to bother someone at EFFP. Hey - regarding your recent block of that /20 range. From a quick look, I'd say that if we exclude edits from logged in users who already have IP block exemption, the vast majority of the edits from that range going back at least as far as June are coming from our shouty friend. LLMs are amazing, but they aren't reliable (yet), they halluicnate things (including sources). By all means get it to give you sources to read, but read them. Hi A person of sorts! The responses above are correct; you can definitely use them to locate sources, but I'd also recommend caution when you do so. Use good judgment, read through them, and verify that the sources found are reliable and that they explicitly state exactly what you're trying to reference. For example: if you're trying to cite a reference to content in an article that states, "exactly 4% of all Oshwah robots are yellow" - make sure that the reference actually states that information.

Something important that you should know is the fact that any questions from editors or users right now regarding the use of large language models on Wikipedia will likely be met with varying answers and recommendations; Wikipedia doesn't have any explicit policies at this time regarding whether or not the use of LLMs is allowed - and if so, when and where. I'd completely avoid using them to write original content or to perform any kind of task involving article pages and content. Many editors will also have different opinions regarding whether or not the use of LLMs to help write messages, comments, or replies within discussions or messages is acceptable. My personal opinion is that doing so within the confines of communication between other editors and the community is fine, but with the understanding that the user assumes 100% responsibility for what they say, and with the expectation that their communications will be treated exactly as if the user did not use an LLM at all. Again, that is only my personal opinion and is not an endorsement, suggestion, or expectation, nor does it reflect any policy or guideline currently in place. The reason that I'm talking about this is to set appropriate expectations with you regarding any questions involving Wikipedia and the use of LLMs. Right now, there simply isn't any policy or guideline page to point you to, but I believe for absolute sure that this will someday change. It'll get to the point that it'll have to.
