About the user
[edit]Wikipedia user MotherOfFlames became a semi-active contributor to the encyclopedia in early 2025, and began contributing to Wikisource a few months later. They primarily perform copyedits, routine fact checking, and source validation within the encyclopedia. Their contributions to the Wikisource library focus on very old printed works, primarily from the United States, that they find while perusing antique shops.
MotherOfFlames is (as of August 2025) a univeristy student in the northeastern US, pursuing a BS in physics and science communication.

MotherOfFlames only works in English on Wikimedia sites. They can comfortably read and speak Spanish, but prefer to leave Spanish language copyedits to native and more fluent speakers. They are currently learning Latin and Esperanto as companion languages in their ongoing linguistic anthropology studies.
Areas of Expertise
[edit]MotherOfFlames is formally studying physics, science communication, astronomy, archival conservation, and linguistic anthropology. They are also well-versed in eukaryotic taxonomy and phylogeny, with a growing interest in that of organisms in other domains. Additionally, they are very experienced in reading and illustrating maps of many kinds, and happily lend their expertise on the subject to graphical interpretation in the encylopedia.
Outside of the academic sphere, MotherOfFlames is also an active Fandom editor under the screen name RavenQueen04. They have no issue with cross-site interactions.
