Hello, fellow Wikipedians! I started editing on Wikipedia officially in December 2011. My interests are mainly in History, Geography, and Linguistics. I'm not particularly focused in one area at the moment, making edits where ever I can. I also wish to make easier links by expanding current pages, and once I become well-read enough to, create articles. However, I do feel that improving the articles that are on Wikipedia are more important than adding more articles (Quality over Quantity). My main edits so far have been history-related, and mainly about the Middle Ages, but, the articles I've worked on to get to GA status are of the natural sciences (Ornithology-related). If I'm not editing, I'm probably reading, whether it be books, or articles on Wikipedia and other sites. If I make any mistakes, do not hesitate to inform me.

I will try to join certain groups when I get the chance.

Diagrams of Mesklin's size, gravity, orbit and temperature Mesklin is a fictional planet created by Hal Clement and used in his hard science fiction stories, starting with Mission of Gravity (1954). Alongside the novel's original 1953 serialization in Astounding Science Fiction, Clement published an essay titled "Whirligig World" on how he designed the planet. The idea came from an object that was believed to exist in the 61 Cygni system, possibly an extrasolar planet. The planet is distinctive for the interaction of its strong gravity with the centrifugal force due to its fast rotation, giving it a gradient in the perceived force of gravity from 3 g on the equator to 665 g on the planet's poles (diagram pictured). It is inhabited by native lifeforms, including an intelligent centipede-like species, the Mesklinites. Mesklin is considered an example of hard science fiction worldbuilding, an exotic milieu that accords with known facts and laws of physics. Keir Hardie (15 August 1856 – 26 September 1915) was a Scottish trade unionist and politician. He was a founder of the Labour Party, and was the first parliamentary leader of the Labour Party from 1906 to 1908. Hardie was born in Newhouse, Lanarkshire. He started working at the age of seven, and from the age of ten worked in the Lanarkshire coal mines. With a background in preaching, he became known as a talented public speaker and was chosen as a spokesman for his fellow miners. Hardie initially supported William Ewart Gladstone's Liberal Party, but later concluded that the working class needed its own party. He first stood for election to Parliament in 1888 as an independent, and later that year helped form the Scottish Labour Party. Hardie won the English seat of West Ham South as an independent candidate in 1892, and helped to form the Independent Labour Party the following year. He lost his seat in 1895, but was re-elected to Parliament in 1900 for Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales. During the same year, he helped to form the union-based Labour Representation Committee, which was later renamed the Labour Party.
