To my understanding, 8-bit multibyte encodings like UTF-8 are multibyte (or "variable length"), while only fixed-length encodings like UTF-32 or UCS-2 are "wide". Am I mistaken? -- 77.176.91.80 (talk) 07:32, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
