It hasn't been nominated for deletion, it would pass WP:PEOPLE easily on at least two counts, namely Creative professional--4.Work has won significant critical attention and secondly Entertainer--2.Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following. He has 9.8 million followers and 5.1 million likes on Facebook, this is easily a large fan base for his videography and his work has drawn significant critical attention in notable media outlets such as Reuters, The Independent. The 10 million followers is a claim that's not easy to back up. You can't rely on the Facebook page - it could really be a million people with 10 Facebook IDs each. Number of Facebook followers has never been a reliable indication of a large fan base.Deb (talk) 08:39, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

There are multiple secondary sources showing his follower numbers in addition to the primary page e.g. . He has 10.96 million+ accounts following on his Facebook page, that is a fact, regardless of opinions on notability criteria or conspiracies of multiple accounts (I agree it doesn't make him notable in of itself). I feel that we need to move with the times somewhat, let's compare him to the debate on Youtuber notability Wikipedia:WikiProject YouTube/Notability, he is a slight outlier as he is one of the few who decided to be Facebook-based. 09:52, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

Merge Nas Daily Corporation into Nuseir Yassin

Hello,

Contested deletion

It seems the article is attracting some low-quality promotional edits. But referring to the article at it was originally written back around August 2018, the article subject is clearly notable since per WP:GNG since the person has been covered by multiple reliable sources independent of the subject. To add, this page is quite well-referenced for a short article on a blogger, compare with WP:YOUTUBE. The page is not overtly promotional, considering that it uses secondary sources from notable outlets this seems an erroneous claim. I cannot comment on the previous version of the page as I have only been watching this page this year and working with a couple of other editors to prevent racist and partisan edits from Israel/Palestinian deabtes creeping in to the article. It is a shame that the CSD was posted without engaging in a debate on the talk page first which would have been a more congenial way to start this discussion. Nas name

I think it's important to note in the early life section that Nuseir got his nickname Nas in college. Nuseir was too difficult for his roommate to pronounce so he gave him the nickname Nas, after the rapper Nas. Is Nas Daily an internet site or a person?

This page is a big anomaly. Is Nas Daily a person or a page? If it is a person, well Nas Daily is not his name. The infobox we have is not acceptable. He clearly has a name and it's not Nas Daily or nowadays some sort of Nas Weekly. If Nas Daily article is about an internet page or site, then the infobox should be that of a corporation, say the Nas Daily Corporation or Company. Werldwayd, He is a person but the name of the page was changed to reflect the name is commonly known by.

He is not Nas Daily, unless he went into the Israeli Birth Registry and said he is now to be known as Nas Daily (Nas is my first name, guys, Daily is my family name, so please correct LOL), which I strongly doubt he did. Nas Daily, that's the name of a page, The matter of fact is, he is saying. I am Nas and this page you are looking at is my daily page. You can visit my page Nas Daily and I am forever indebted to you. That's all it means. I am sure the so-called "Mr. Nas Daily" is smiling seeing this page about him being named Nas Daily and just laughing at us. It's an inside joke between him and his collaborators. He is saying even Wikipedia is so funny and odd. But since it's free publicity to his website and that's what he needs for now, so "let it stay", he must be saying to himself. The site isn't even a daily anymore. I have the feeling the real reason for this name change is somebody is reluctant to name him with his correct Arabic name. As if, somehow, an Arabic name is something to be ashamed of. So let's name him Mr. Daily instead since his name is so hard to pronounce. Many people change their names you know simply to have more pronounceable names for the general public... Suddenly Mohammad becomes Mo, and Nuseir becomes Nas. That's as far as it goes or that is the impression given to the readers. If we will stick to Nas Daily, I suggest a complete change of the nature of the page. Let's keep it Nas daily but let's convert the present page to an article about the website itself, with a new proper infobox used for websites (like in Google for example), and with the logo of the page as the inserted default photo. The contents of the page should start with Nas Daily company information under a clear company section, followed by a separate second Biography section for its founder Nuseir Yassin... We also have a redirect page with his proper name to the website article page which we can tie to the Biography sub-section after its placement further down the page. The other Wikipedia languages have got it right. We have got it all wrong. Even if some publication is calling him Nas Daily, that publication is equally wrong and erroneous as we are. It's no proof. Many publications get it wrong all the times with foreign names. This is an epidemic for treating foreign sounding names in English language publications. But in intro though, we have it perfectly right I must say: "Israeli-Arab video blogger who created 1,000 daily 1-minute videos on Facebook under the page, Nas Daily. He currently operates the Nas Daily Corporation". We are clear, even in our intro, that Nas Daily is a PAGE NAME, not a person's name. Yet in the title, we just misrepresent him as if his "name" is actually Nas Daily. This is why I called our page schizophrenic, meaning he thinks he is a website not an actual person. Like Bill Gates thinking he is called "Mr. Microsoft Worldwide", or "Mr Microsoft Windows International" (like Microsoft is his given name, Windows is the name of his father and his surname is International), so forget about Mr. Bill Gates please. On the 7th of January, Nas Daily released a video on Facebook titled "The 100% Immigrant Country". In this video he wrongfully described the island of Mauritius to be inhabited by an entire population of Immigrants. This created an angry backlash amongst Mauritian Facebook users, with many trying to explain to him that this information was in correct. In the comment section Nas Daily dismissed users and responded in the comment section by stating "most radicals here need to go and chill and go to the beach or something". Controversies

In August 2022, Nas Daily announced a course on his Nas Academy platform featuring Whang-Od, a renowned Filipino mamabatok (traditional tattoo) artist, claiming it would teach traditional indigenous tattooing techniques. Shortly after, Whang-Od's grand niece, Grace Palicas, publicly stated that the artist had not consented to the course and was unaware of its existence. Furthermore, the term "Israel" appears 37 times, while "entrepreneur" appears zero times, creating a politicized caricature rather than a biography.

2. Violation of Neutral Point of View (Undue Weight)

The "Reception" section is disproportionately negative. It focuses heavily on political criticisms regarding a "normalizing agenda"—a framing used to negatively spin my efforts to promote peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Meanwhile, the perspective of my 70 million followers and the positive community impact is entirely absent. A biography that contains zero mentions of the word "fan" for a social media creator is fundamentally unbalanced.

3. Material Omissions and Factual Errors

Because the page is locked, significant professional achievements and factual updates are missing:

* Nas.io: There is no mention of my software startup, Nas.io, for which I raised $40 million to support creators and entrepreneurs. This is a primary aspect of my current career.
* Outdated Stats: The article lists outdated metrics, such as the progress of my "life percentage" t-shirt (currently listed at 35%, whereas it is factually at 43%).
* Personal Life: Significant personal history, including my long-term partnership with Alyne Tamir, is excluded or misrepresented.

4. The "Frozen" State

For context, Nas had released an Instagram reel (as well as on other social media) about the state of the article https://www.instagram.com/p/DT94HIiElcy/. I had left some comments there, and I will add those comments here:

1. The photo can be updated as long as you submit a new one. The 2018 photo is a studio shot that is professionally taken and submitted onto Wikimedia Commons with permission to be used freely. Logically a new photo can be submitted as well. Note that such uploads are usually done with the knowledge of the subject, be it them knowing directly or indirectly.
2. The removal of ethinicity is part of a wider effort to indicate only the nationality of everyone, not just you or anyone controversial. There is also a guideline to refer a person by the nationality in the lead section only unless the ethnicity is notable as well. See MOS:ETHNICITY.
3. Dating news are usually left out from articles unless it is notable, i.e. not just dating but have been known to have an outsized influence on your life. Notably, the article mentioned the ex-girlfriend by her role as a collaborator. Other than the announcement that Nas made about Aija, were there news about Aija? What role have Aija played in Nas Daily? If one searches 'Nas Daily girlfriend', who turned up more? See WP:GOSSIP.
4. On nas.io, it is probably because the news of it has slipped from the orbit of the editors who were updating your article. How wide spread was the launched published in the news media worldwide? Are there news article about nas.io? If so, please share here.
5. On page protection, this is not targeted at you. Checking the protection logs, it was protected as part of a wide arbitration enforcement on anything related to the Arab regional issues. (See WP:CT/PIA) There was an uptick on disruptive edits on articles relating to the entire region when the military activities in Gaza increased that it was ultimately decided that all related articles will be page protected for stability. The article can still be edited directly, but only by experienced editors to mantain some form of editing stability. New editors or unregistered editors can still make suggestions on the accompanying talk page to update the article. The suggestions as long as there are sources accompanied are usually followed up quickly.

Now, with respect to the specific asks here:

1. Asking for the page to be opened (I will address this point first). Your ask is to drop the page protection. As an admin, my answer is no, this will not be done at least by me. Other admins may differ, can be discussed further. Administratively, the page protection was done under a general arbitration enforcement to introduce content stability. (WP:CT/PIA). Dropping the page protection will allow not only 'positive edits', but also the bad ones (and frankly, before the page protection was introduced permanently, the article was vandalised multiple times and necessitated a couple of page protections), and as the next section is showing, there may be more controversies to be included as well. Whatever content that you want in, put it up here on the talk page with sources, and we (may not be me, may be other editors as well as the responses are done asynchronously) can work out to see how the content can be placed in the article. Aside, there are also WP:COI, WP:PAIDEDITING, WP:PROMOTIONAL, WP:OWN.
2. Erasure of Identity: This has largely being edited to refer you as "Israeli-Palestinian" by another editor. See #Edit request 26 January 2026.
3. The "Reception" section is disproportionately negative. This is the result of the sources being used. If you want a balanced POV, indicate what you want added here, and with sources.
4. Material Omissions and Factual Errors
   1. Nas.io, I would love to do so earlier, but a Google search showed only two relevant sources: jpost.com had been largely blocked for me until now, and adobo magazine's seems to be a regurgitated press release (which we don't use as sources in general). Any other sources that we can use?
   2. Outdated Stats. Upload another image is the answer. This can be done by you. The 2018 photo was professionally done and with a VRT ticket, which means it had gained permissions either from you or the photographer to be uploaded. Someone has found a 2023 photo, but it a cropped of wefie.
   3. Personal Life: We typically don't include dating information per WP:GOSSIP. Personally, it has had lead to some headscratching moments when no sources could be found for further details. Alyne was mentioned in the Career section though.

Here his ethnicity is related to notability so it should have been included. Also, could you check Dalal Abu Amneh for comparison, another notable Palestinian citizen of Israel? Whenever I fix it someone quickly removes her citizenship info. I.e. the opposite of what is happening with Nusseir. Should we get protection for that article as well? I was planning to answer all of your queries, but another editor already did so. They seem to be completely correct. Wikipedia is NOT RUN BY WORD OF MOUTH or social media, such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, you may talk about your dating relationship immensely in your social media accounts, but it will not be added into Wikipedia, for it is not supported by a reliable source, such as news outlets. This is since social media as a source is extremely unreliable as a whole. Moreover, if a section appears to have disproportionate viewpoints, it is due to majority of available reliable sources are primarily negative, not because your Wikipedia article was “terrorised”. Again, as robertsky previously stated, if you want it to be more in your favour, prove that it deserves to be. State some reliable sources that are more positive, and it can help balance this out. Also, about your point on Grokipedia being superior, AI, which Grokipedia is based off, is running on HUMAN data, similarly to Wikipedia, so it will also have problems. No encyclopedia is ever perfect.

Thanks a lot for your efforts to address this criticism, Robertsky and Mountaincirque, but I have a hard time believing that the call to abolish Wikipedia really comes from our failure to name the girlfriend. Wikipedia has been catching a lot of flak from Israeli media since the September 2025 RfC decided that Wikipedia should state that a genocide is happening in Gaza.
