Italian term for "mansplaining"

Maschiegazione is not very common. Regardless of my personal experience as a native speaker of Italian, I haven't found many results on the web, and there are no reliable sources, in English or Italian, backing up its inclusion in this article besides the NYT article cited. Minchiarimento, although originally vulgar in its etymon (from minchia), is the common term. IlmarisenVasara 12:38, 11 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Missing background

The article seems to be very light on analysis of the concept itself. A lot of background on usage, etymology, history etc, but no real studies whther the concept has foundations in reality or somewhat exaggerated. I now added a Dutch study, there are surely more studies out there. Would be nice to add them to the article SpamHunters (talk) 06:50, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
