Unnamed section
[edit]This definition ignores the long-established concept of a mechanical interposer, which is a way to selectively transmit force. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.216.34.132 (talk) 17:01, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
I came looking for a mechanical interposer article because I have just watched a BBC TV programme on Lady Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage's difference and analytical engines. That showed a 3D-printed decision device that was part of an engine. And reminded me of the "interposer" that I remember from an engineering course on tabulators at International Computers and Tabulators during the early 1960s. 195.166.148.39 (talk) 10:24, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
