Notability banner

[edit]

@Horse Eye's Back: You added a notability orange banner to the article in July 2025. Is this banner still valid? If so, can you nominate it to the appropriate location to initiate a discussion? Thanks, Z1720 (talk) 23:29, 22 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Z1720: its only been a few months, normally we'd wait a few years to give people time to find sources (the page has no sigcov included and I can't locate any, but some may exist in a harder to find source somewhere) but I guess every page is different... Whats the rush? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 00:04, 23 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Horse Eye's Back: I'm not a fan of the orange notability banners (or really any orange banners): normally they just sit at the top of articles untouched, only to be randomly discovered by readers. By opening a deletion discussion, an interested editor might want to resolve the issue. There is also the added concern that this article is a good article, so if this is not notable it can't have that status. Z1720 (talk) 00:52, 23 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
You are more than welcome to open one, but I'm not comfortable bringing an article with less than two years on the clock to AfD and it hasn't even been a year. The article might have a legacy (2011) GA rating, but it wouldn't pass reassessment under the modern standard... So not really sure how that is an added concern.
