Hidden comment

[edit]

It looks like the hidden comment part is there for all links - the template currently renders in wikicode like this according to it's documentation (one space added to defeat edit filter), which includes the information about the archive.today link.

Can you point me closer to that? I don't see the problem in Template:Deprecated archive/testcases Thanks!! Dw31415 (talk) 02:31, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

oh, I think I understand now, you meant the the hidden comment requirement mentioned by Thurdruf. Sorry for my confusion. Dw31415 (talk) 02:33, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yep, that's correct. Tazerdadog (talk) 03:07, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Bot edit to add this template caused formatting change (italics to two ' marks)

[edit]

Please see this edit, in which the bot changed the rendered output of a citation title from italicized to surrounded by two ' marks. I believe that this change may have been caused by code in the module. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:47, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Quick check on html titles

[edit]

Links containing embedded html may be safer than I expected. This contains a span: Example.com generated title[link removed] Dw31415 (talk) 03:02, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Currently the bot skips these. I’ll do some more research about what is safe Dw31415 (talk) 03:03, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
