For categorization purposes, "Chemical elements" and "Elements" have been considered synonymous for some time. The redundant Category:Elements has been created and deleted several times and re-creation of this redundant category is discouraged. If you have good reasons for creating the Category:Elements, please discuss them here so that additional needless trips to Wikipedia:Categories for deletion are avoided. Thank you.
